This new design from Boreal is in response to customer demand. The Baffin is a new polyethelyne kayak model inspired by our composite Ellesmere. 17’ long and 22.25” beam, it’s innovative hull shape, incorporates reverse hard chines and a semi arched bottom, providing this design with the ultimate balance between speed and manoeverability. The Baffin is equiped with the new Boreal Design rubber hatch covers. The Beluga is a composite tandem, which, from the first strokes of the paddle ensures ease and confidence. This kayak combines stability and performance, and is capable of reaching high cruising speeds. A moderate rocker, coupled with a larger rudder, make the kayak easy to turn. Large cockpits offer ample room for the legs and feet. The practical centre compartment can be used for extra storage or outfitted with an optional child seat/bulkhead. The cockpits are spaced sufficiently apart, allowing the paddlers to paddle at their own speed, without risk of accidental collision between the two paddles. The Nanook is designed for individuals weighing 90 kg (200 lb) or more. This kayak has a deeper profile, offering ample room for the legs, thighs and feet. For added comfort and freedom of movement, the cockpit and seat are larger than those of other composite models.
