Sea Kayaks

With the increased interest in recreational activities, paddle sports equipment have suffered the same fate as other consumer goods, such as bicycles, and are now in short supply. We at Old Creel Canoe and Kayak have long partnered with the top brands, focusing on Canadian and North American manufacturers where possible, and are well positioned to get you on the water in the right boat for you!

Come visit Old Creel Canoe & Kayak in Waverley for a complete selection of canoes, kayaks and so much more! Old Creel is proud to be home to a wide assortment of stand-up paddle boards to help our clients fully explore and enjoy the wilderness that surrounds them.

Sea Kayaks meet the recommendations from Transport Canada to be over 4 metres in length (minimum of 13') for better handling in swells and superior tracking control.  It has water tight flotation compartments.  Many sea kayaks are equipped with a rudder for tracking control and active steering (skegs are another popular option that provides no active steering but rather contracts the forces that wind or current exert on a kayak).
