Training Courses

Location: Zatzman Sportsplex, 110 Wyse Rd, Dartmouth, NS B3A 1M2

Participants should arrive at least 15 minutes early.

Participants will be responsible to bring a clean kayak to the pool.  Any debris introduced into the pool by a participants kayak is the responsibility of the participant to remedy. Rentals available as an option below.  

Participants are recommended to bring their own PFD, Paddle, Skirt, mask/googles and any neoprene clothing they may need to stay warm.  A helmet is good protection against an errant paddle or kayak.

Participants should have basic kayak skills and have successfully performed a wet exit prior to registering.  

The session is intended to allow participants practice recover strokes, re-entry skills, and rolls.

Clinic Options:

• Self guided session: No formal instruction will be given during the clinic.  Participants are free to practice skills and meet new friends!
• Coached session:  A participant will be observed and checked in on from time to time during the session with suggestions for improvement.  Video review can be provided.
• Rental kayak and coached session: A rental sea or river kayak, paddle, PFD and skirt will be provided.  A participant will be observed and checked in on from time to time during the session with suggestions for improvement.  Video review can be provided.

Cancellation Policy: 

No refunds will be issued after booking.
