The Prospector 15′ is a scaled-down version of our larger Prospectors that’s faithful to the original lines in every way. You get all the great handling features that make the Prospector a paddling legend, in a package that’s a bit smaller and more responsive. Since 1984, we’ve gone out of our way to continue the tradition so future generations of paddlers can enjoy this icon of Canadian history.
The Workhorse of the Canadian north, our Prospector 16’ feels most at home loaded with gear on a remote wilderness lake or river. While it is best suited for river tripping, it remains versatile enough to be a good all round canoe. With experience, the self-righting aspects of the shallow arch hull will become apparent and confidence levels will soar. Whats more, it provides a very dry ride in big waves and whitewater. It is simply the best all round wilderness tripping canoe available.

The cargo capacity of the Prospector 18’ model can only be described as massive. The Prospector lines produce a canoe that feels deceptively light and responsive, but there’s tons of space to pack in a load of supplies for any expedition with room left over to toss in the kitchen sink. The Prospector 18 is a big boat with straighter tracking than our shorter Prospectors. It’s perfect for the wilderness traveller intent on expedition-style adventures or a large family wanting to travel in one canoe.
This original Chestnut Canoe Company design with Nova Craft innovation offers a craft that is perfect for children. Kids will love to be able to take it out on their own and enjoy spending time on the water in a canoe that they can manage easily. Outfitting your children with the right equipment is as essential to water safety as supervision. Ensure that the kids will be safe on the water with this stable and easy-to-use canoe.
The Teddy is all about comfort with safety in mind for the kids. It will carry them and all the gear they’ll need for a small journey as it requires minimal effort to keep it gliding on the water. The featherweight of this craft also allows them to move it in and out of the water with ease. The Teddy will allow kids to have fun in their exploration of the outdoors without the frustration of complicated, technical and never-ending instruction. Keep quiet and watch them learn!

This Chestnut Canoe was originally built with the outdoorsman of the early 1900s in mind. Chestnut’s mission was to design a craft that would enable outdoorsmen to paddle small creeks as well as large lakes and be small enough to get through the then nonexistent portage trails at the same time. To meet these unique needs, The Chestnut Canoe Company brought something efficient yet maneuverable into production.
For the modern canoeist, both the primary and secondary stability of the Trapper are reassuring, though its stability does not sacrifice its speed. It has lots of space, for everything from a day of fishing to a week of tripping in the back country. It is a great canoe to use for improving your “J” stroke and can also be used with a double blade paddle. The Trapper combines the enjoyment of a stable fishing platform with the benefits of a small and light craft for portaging into small productive lakes.

Product Instructions
Before kayaking, secure your NRS Paddle Float in an easily accessible area such as in the deck rigging or inside your deck bag. Make sure the float is properly secured so that crashing waves or heavy winds do not wash or blow it away.
After capsizing, flip your boat over quickly (a quicker flip means less water in your cockpit). Grab the float, and attach it to one end of the paddle by sliding the blade into the float and securing it with the drawstring and quick-release buckle. Inflate either air chamber on the paddle float. Only one of the two air chambers needs to be inflated to create an outrigger for re-entry.
Create an outrigger by placing your paddleshaft behind the rear cockpit coaming of your kayak, holding it tight with your hand. Place your other hand on the rear deck, and prepare to lift yourself by getting horizontal in the water with your heels close to the water surface. Please note that your body position will be just behind the cockpit of the kayak.
Lift your torso onto the rear deck first, then work your feet onto the paddle shaft outrigger, hooking your ankles around the shaft. Slowly work your first foot into the cockpit, then the second. Twist your body around towards the paddle float and slide back into the cockpit, always keeping your balance toward the float so that you do not capsize again.
Put your paddle in a stable situation (possibly under your stomach) so that you can drain the boat with a bilge pump and reattach your sprayskirt. Remove the paddle float, deflate, and stow it away securely. If the water is choppy, you can store the inflated paddle float under your deck rigging until you reach safety, then deflate.
Note: in an emergency, you can put your arms through the webbing straps on each end of the float to provide extra floatation.
Note: there are many schools of thought on paddle float reentry. Although the above is one of the most popular methods, take the time to read various sources on the subject and find the system that works best for you! Also, do not wait for an emergency. Practice paddle float re-entry in a controlled situation and be better prepared when the real emergency comes!
PRODUCT TIPS
To prevent water entry, be sure the air chamber valves are closed until you need to inflate a chamber. You only need to inflate one of the air chambers while using the float.

One of our most popular cold-weather gloves, NRS Maverick Gloves combine a raw neoprene exterior with a four-way stretch interior for maximum warmth and dexterity.
2 mm raw neoprene exterior with titanium laminate adhesive provides plenty of warmth and sheds water, eliminating evaporative cooling.
RawHide™ palm delivers unbeatable grip and combines with liquid-sealed seams to deliver complete waterproof protection.
Pre-curved finger design prevents hand fatigue.
Our innovative HydroCuff™ wrist prevents paddle drip, keeping water out.
Pairing snaps on the wrists help keep the gloves together.
Important Note: To put the glove on, first roll the cuff up. Then slide your hand in with a twisting motion and roll the cuff back over your forearm. To take the glove off, slide the thumb of the opposite hand inside the cuff, along the palm of the hand and push the glove off.

Find out why the NRS Men's Boater's Gloves have become such a gear bag staple. Designed for kayaking and rafting but equally at home on a bike or fishing rod. Blister and sun protection all in one lightweight, comfortable warm-weather glove.
Amara® synthetic leather on the palm extends to the cuff to protect skin against blisters and reinforce the wrist when putting the gloves on.
Palm design features silicone accents for even better grip and control plus small vent holes for breathability.
Open-finger design leaves your fingers free for high-dexterity tasks like tying knots, working a camera or handing an opened beverage to your oarsman/woman.
Never loose the pair with the Pairing Snaps on the wrists.
Nylon/spandex material extends a little farther past the wrist to pair with long-sleeves for ultimate sun protection.
